This policy explains how Carvoh uses cookies and similar technologies on the waitlist website in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), the Belgian Law of 30 July 2018, and the Law of 13 June 2005 on electronic communications (as amended, including rules on storing and accessing information on users' terminal equipment).

3. Cookies used on this Site

We currently use only strictly necessary and functional cookies required to operate the Site. We do not use advertising or audience measurement cookies on the waitlist Site.

CARVOH_LOCALE

  • Purpose: remember your selected language.
  • Type: functional / preference.
  • Duration: up to 12 months.
  • Legal basis: our legitimate interest in providing the Site in your preferred language (Article 6.1.f GDPR); storage based on the necessity to provide a service explicitly requested by the user under applicable ePrivacy rules.

wl_device

  • Purpose: assign a pseudonymous device identifier to prevent waitlist abuse (one verified registration per device, rate limiting). Only a hashed value is stored in our database.
  • Type: strictly necessary / security.
  • Duration: up to 12 months.
  • HttpOnly: yes.
  • Legal basis: our legitimate interest in protecting the Site and users against fraud and abuse (Article 6.1.f GDPR); strictly necessary for the security of the service requested.

Administration and session cookies

  • Purpose: authentication and security of the restricted administration area (authorised staff only).
  • Type: strictly necessary.
  • Duration: session or according to the security policy in force.
  • Legal basis: legitimate interest in securing our systems (Article 6.1.f GDPR) and, where applicable, performance of the contract with authorised users (Article 6.1.b GDPR).

Technical cookies from our hosting provider

  • Purpose: load balancing, security, and proper delivery of the Site.
  • Type: strictly necessary.
  • Duration: varies according to the provider.
  • Legal basis: strictly necessary for the operation of the Site.

4. Local storage

We do not currently use local storage for optional marketing or analytics purposes on the public waitlist pages. If this changes, this policy will be updated and, where required, your consent will be collected before any non-essential storage.

5. Third-party cookies

The public waitlist Site does not embed third-party advertising or social tracking pixels. If third-party content requiring cookies is added in the future, this policy will be updated accordingly.

6. Managing cookies

You can configure your browser to refuse all or some cookies, or to alert you when cookies are set. Refusing strictly necessary cookies may affect the operation of the Site (for example, language preference or waitlist security checks).

For the CARVOH_LOCALE cookie, you can also change language at any time using the language selector in the Site footer.
